Why You Need These 6 Upgrades for A Better Off-Road Experience
Why You Need These 6 Upgrades for A Better Off-Road Experience
Whether you’re new to off-roading or a seasoned pro, there are some upgrades you should have on your vehicle if you want the best off-roading experience.
Off-Road Upgrade #1: Tires
For a better off-roading experience, the regular vehicle tires that get you from point A to point B won’t make the cut. The benefits of owning off-roading tires are:
- Positive reinforcement over stock offerings
- Better traction on smooth surfaces and obstacles and even more on grippy surfaces like rocks and wood
- Climb better
- Less risk of tire failure
- Taller tread will give you an increase in ground clearance
Off-roading tires are specifically made for that — off-roading. Your vehicle will benefit from this investment, but so will your wallet as you’ll prevent the risk of blowing a tire. The tire you choose will depend on your vehicle and your off-roading needs. If you need help determining the right tire upgrade, visit us at 15230 San Fernando Mission Blvd Suite B102, Mission Hills, CA 91345.
Off-Road Upgrade #2: Winches and Hitches
A winch is a tremendous off-roading upgrade you need for your vehicle. This is the upgrade that will save you when you get stuck. Before adding the aesthetically pleasing upgrades to your vehicle, you should get a winch first. A winch will not only get you out of a tough spot, but it will help if your car has bad tires or you make a wrong driving decision.
The winch you choose will depend on your vehicle and the winch's purpose. Our 8-S winch can pull 8,000 pounds versus the 10-S winch can pull 10,000 pounds. The Warn VR EVO winch is great for ½-ton pickups, Jeeps, and larger SUVs while the Warn AXON 55-S Powersport winches are great for the biggest UTVs and biggest pulls. We guarantee you won’t regret it! But if you do, we have a 30-day refund policy.
On a similar note, hitches are also useful and are similar to winches. Winches are intended to be installed at the front of the vehicle for the driver to pull someone out. Hitches are intended to be at the rear bumpers so others can pull you out. Hitches can also help with mounting bikes, spare tires, or something else. But for off-roading purposes, it’s a great tow point for someone to utilize if you need to be pulled out.

Off-Road Upgrade #3: Undercarriage Protection
Protect your rockers and the underside of the car with some protection! Even if you have your vehicle lifted, it doesn’t mean the undercarriage is safe from damage. Pointy rocks, branches, and other items commonly found on the trail can still cause damage. But instead of spending money fixing the vulnerable oil pans, fuel tanks, T-cases, or exhaust parts on your car, be proactive! Check out our undercarriage protection here. We recommend the Assault Industries High Clearance Radius Roads Polaris. We offer a RZR 2014-17 XP 1000 2016 Turbo and a RZR 2017.5 XP 1000/ 2017-18 Turbo.
Off-Road Upgrade #4: Bumpers
Speaking of car safety and saving you money, it would also be smart to invest in bumpers. Your off-roading experience will get better knowing that your car is safe from the obstacles that are in its path. Your car will be safe from obstacles, but so will your passengers. We have bumpers for all off-roading vehicles. Visit our store at 15230 San Fernando Mission Blvd Suite B102, Mission Hills, CA 91345!
Off-Road Upgrade #5: Lights
While you should expect the unexpected when you go off-roading, you should still be able to see what’s in front of you. And sometimes, the standard light from headlights doesn’t cut it. If you enjoy off-roading early in the morning or late at night, you’re going to need lights on your truck, Jeep, or UTV. Lights mounted to the vehicle, whether on the roof or the front bumper, will help make your off-roading experience safer. Search for all of our light products here. From light bars and light pods to lights for your specific vehicle, we have it all! For our UTV customers, we recommend our DDOR lights.
Off-Road Upgrade #6: Lift Kit
We mentioned lifted vehicles earlier in upgrade #3, but in addition to the previously mentioned upgrades, your vehicle should be lifted. It helps protect the vehicle from the trail and rocks underneath the car. A lift kit can also come with a leveling kit. The leveling kit will help the vehicle's suspension and help it in the long run with durability. It’s a good addition to add to your truck, SUV, or Jeep since most cars aren’t always equipped to handle the intensity that comes from off-roading.
